On Friday, Ralf Rangnick fielded questions from members of the press.
On Saturday afternoon, United will host relegation challengers Watford at Old Trafford, only three days after their stalemate with Atletico Madrid. In November's rematch, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign came to an end following a 4-1 defeat.

Any result other than a victory for Ralf Rangnick would be a tragedy for the Hornets, who have only gotten worse under Roy Hodgson's management. United, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last five games going into this encounter.

Atletico Madrid drew Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, and Ralf Rangnick credited Nemanja Matic with making a game-changing contribution.

Matic came on in the 67th minute, with full-backs Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Alex Telles, before being replaced by Anthony Elanga, who equalised on 80 minutes with his first touch.

Rangnick voiced his sadness about the Ukraine issue during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Watford encounter, but he was amused when asked about Anthony Elanga's chant.

Rangnick was more impressed by Matic's effect in his first game in five weeks than by the majority of the post-match coverage given to Elanga, United's 19-year-old Champions League knockout stage scorer,
